Homoeopathic Perspective in the Management of Substance Use Disorders: A Systematic Review

Background: Substance abuse has become a widespread global issue. It includes of illegal substances, namely marijuana, heroin, cocaine and methamphetamines, legal including alcohol, nicotine or prescribed medicines.
 Aim Review: This review assesses the role Homoeopathy in therapeutic management substance use disorders (SUD) through systematic web-based literature search.
 Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted online manually to identify homoeopathic research studies published between 1993 2022 on SUD international databases Central Council Research library. Relevant were categorised assessed terms study designs, number participants, evidence grades clinical outcome parameters. total 21 full-text screened evaluated. Risk bias (RoB) for all model validity appraised included RCTs'.
 Results: 10 (3 Randomised Controlled Trials, 3 Observational studies, 1 Pilot study, observational comparative Retrospective cohort case series) 11 excluded with reasons. 03 have level 1b an 'A' grade recommendation, which consists RCTs only. The most commonly medicines identified were: Arsenic album, Nux vomica, Lycopodium, Pulsatilla, Sulphur, Staphysagria, Belladonna, Ipecac, Chamomilla, Rhustox, Phosphorus Lachesis.
 high risk elicited accentuating need more robust methodological studies.
 Conclusion: majority small recruitments. Pragmatic larger sample sizes validated measures may be designed further validate promising SUDs generate quality evidence.
